ONE MAN BAND

CHARACTER

Tippy is main character in an animated short movie, One Man Band. She is a dynamic character. In the beginning of this short movie, she is a humble pleasant girl. She has a big gold coin and she intents to drop it in the piazza fountain to make a wish. Then, she sees Bass, a street performer playing a routine tune on deserted Italian village square. She wants to drop the coin into Bass’s cup after he plays an impromptu track but just when Tippy is about to drop the coin, a newcomer, Treble steals her attention. Both of the street performers compete to steal her attention only for a big gold coin and suddenly the coin falls down into a drain. It is a turning point when Tippy changes into a bad girl after she loses her coin. She is angry with the street performers and wants them to replace her coin. Then, she attempts to get her money back by playing solo. A passing pedestrian drops a large bag of gold coins after she tunes the violin that she takes from Treble. She becomes cruel immediately. She pulls two coins out of her bag and tempts Treble and Bass and then when they reach out to grab them, she tosses the coins into the top of the fountain that is out of reach to dismay of the two men.
